Me I love to cheer, but how about you? Do you
think cheerleading is a sport, well if you don't
think again because it is. get it straight from a
cheergirl who tells it like it is. it is a sport,
in a competition routine (that if you go to a
basketball game it is not the same), there is a
combination of gymnastics, jumping up in the air
and making your legs go soo high you go into shock,
and, dancing, while cheering- not yelling but
making your words come from the diaphram so you can
actually breath when your done(In case any of my
cheer buddies are reading, i am just putting things
into perspective for the people who don't get our
sport)not to mention tossing people into the air
and holding them up there for at least 5 seconds
then tossing them again and catching their whole
body without getting hurt in the process. All that
is in a single routine and i'll tell you it is
pretty difficult, we really get tired after 3
minutes of full out not stop cheerleading. I know
that 3 minutes doesn't seem like a hard time but
when you are the one who is performing then you
will understand, but until then don't try and say
that you do unless you can do it without loosing
your breath(that is if you are not a cheerleader).
